the face (and camera) behind Kalia Yang Photography! Most days, you’ll find me chasing golden light, capturing big laughs, and freezing those in-between moments that make your story unique.

I’m lucky to have my right-hand man — aka Mr. Kalia Yang Photography (my amazing husband Shaohai) — join me at sessions. Together, we make the perfect tag team!

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a proud mama to two beautiful, wild-at-heart kiddos and our sweet French Bulldog, Hopper— yes, named after the legendary Stranger Things character. 

Family sessions and community events have my heart. I absolutely love connecting with people — especially within the Hmong community — and capturing those genuine smiles that tell a story of love, laughter, and togetherness.
